Objectives:
- To arm adults with disabilities with gardening skills that enhance their physical abilities, employing plant cultivation activities to bolster motor skills and muscular strength.
- To ensure regular involvement of the impaired in gardening activities, fostering their independence, self-care abilities, and time management skills.
- To contribute to the mental development of adults with disabilities, allowing them to observe plant growth, learn watering schedules, and participate in harvesting, thereby honing their problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- To promote socialization among impaired adults by engaging them in team gardening activities, thereby nurturing their communication and cooperation skills.
- To pioneer a flexible educational model that transcends the conventional classroom setting, tailoring educational programs to the unique needs of each individual based on their skills, interests, and types of disabilities.
Expected outcomes:
- Enhanced physical, social, and mental capacities of adults with disabilities through structured
gardening activities.
- Development of a bespoke educational framework that accommodates the learning needs of
adults with disabilities outside the traditional classroom environment.
- Strengthened cooperation and communication among project partners, ensuring the
successful implementation and sustainability of the project goals.
Significance of the Kick-off Meeting:
The kick-off meeting slated for May 18 and 19, 2024, in Buzău, Romania, marks a first step in the project’s lifecycle.
